Woot + Seattle + Me = :D

Before this post, I had blogged once this year on this blog. That was an announcement that I was taking a job at a great web agency called The Loud Few.  At that time, I promised I would blog more and, while I haven’t kept that promise so far, here’s a second blog post for […]

A Louder Chapter

Almost eight years ago, I started my first “real” job. At the time, I was joining the Information Technology department at Greenville College.  Working there has been a great experience with lots of great people. This weekend, I decided that it was finally time to move on from that job and accepted a position as […]

So much to write about…

So here I have been in London for five days and I haven’t even written a decent blog post about it yet.  There’s just so much to talk about!  Julie and I are having a fantastic time.  The folks at MOO are just as cool as you’d think.  Today, they let us take part in […]

Finally here!

After traveling for what seemed like several days, we finally made it to London! We’re staying in a flat in the Notting Hill area and are preparing to venture out for the first time.  First thought… jet lag sucks.  So did the angry rude British woman who sat across the row at me who kept […]

New (kinda) mini posts

Cleveland, OH

As you probably know by now, Julie and I are up in Cleveland this weekend.  We’re having lots of fun.  Fun fact: the Cuyahoga River burns 365 days a year.  On a clear day, you can see the smoke plumes from Columbus. Last night, we visited with Len and Nora and their relentlessly enthusiastic children.  […]

Internet Celebrities

Tomorrow, Julie and I will, in all likelihood, be appearing on Len’s podcast, Jawbone Radio. Around 9PM EDT, you should be able to watch the show being taped at Len’s Ustream page. We’ll be in Cleveland, OH for the rest of the week and will post plenty of pictures of the world’s largest rubber stamp […]

Yesterday, I upgraded my blog to the new version of WordPress, 2.3. Despite my concerns about the major database changes, the upgrade was pulled off flawlessly. Users upgrading should be aware that your blog will look messed up until you run the database upgrade script by logging in to their administration section.

Updating WordPress with Subversion

For various reasons, I’ve decided to start updating my WordPress install with Subversion. The process is very simple and safe, if you follow some simple steps from your SSH or Telnet session. Note: you have to have Subversion installed on the server you’re trying to do this on. Try doing the first “svn…” command below […]
