Mr. T explains rapping

iFilm: Mr. T explains rapping

“Rapping is like street poetry. It lets you express your feelings inside! Or the way you are!”

This is from an education film T did called “Be Sombody or Be Sombody’s Fool”. Here are some great cheerful T Lyrics:

It’s morning, you wake up, turn on your radio
You rhyme with the rappers on the records that you know
And you talk about war and poverty
And the cold hard subject, reality!
(Listen!) The music sounds good but it makes you feel sad
Worried about things you wish you had
Then you go to work or school, with your head held down
Wait a minute, get your face up off the ground!
You better realize, we don’t have a lot
But you better thank God for what you got!
Stop being so depressed, cheer up, don’t be sad
‘Cause they ain’t dropped the Bomb, so it ain’t that bad!

In case you can’t see the video or if you just love the song so much, you need to put it on your iPod , I’ve put up an mp3.

iFilm has a bunch of other clips including:

Styling with T - Mr. T explains that if you don’t wear clothes, you’ll get arrested and refers to a woman as “a real hot dog”. I think he meant it as a compliment. Oh, check out “Jeff” who is the “hippest cat in town” with suspenders and a plaid shirt only grandpas would wear.

Recouping with Mr. T - “Dr. T” explains that breakdancing cures all ails. And then Dr. T strips for the good girls and boys.

Creating…er…breakdancing - T explains that you can be your own person by breakdancing. The tutorial contained within is…lacking. You’ll get to see some pretty hip kids do some crazy moves while T’s chains glisten in the sun.

Treat your mother right - Last, but certainly not least, Mr. T regales us with a rap song about his dear mother and her birth pains.
